Throwback to Nigerian Christian Rap Songs

As we inculcate the habit of setting throwbacks to Nigerian Christian rap songs. The throwback Christian rap songs for this week in no particular order are:

IBK is a Nigerian Singer/rapper with Yoruba ethnicity yet he has a love for foreign expression and utterances. The track “Duology” is a solo track which was produced by him and mixed by Okey Sokay. It was released in
2015. On this track, Spaceshipboi shows off his rap dexterity as he addresses certain issues in the society and talks about himself being the child of God.

Bukola Folayan (BOUQUI), one of the foremost Christian rappers in Nigeria released this track in 2008 off her sophomore album “Redefinition”. With a groovy tune, this song, Morile has received massive airplay in all radio stations and churches since its release. It’s one song that’ll surely get you up on your feet with an awesome delivery,
message, and video alongside with it. It was produced and mixed by Skillz of JJC Squad.

Limoblaze is already a household name in Christian rap music in Nigeria but many of us haven’t listened to or heard one of the few joints this dope rapper started out with. Amazing Grace ft. Lil Kal was released in 2012. And this song talks about him once being in sin and ruled by it until Christ’s grace showed up. It’s an awesome tune blended with a great hook from Lil Kal.
