On this new trend of setting throwbacks to Christian rap songs that shook everywhere at some point and hard to forget.
In no particular order, we’ll be looking at five (5)songs this week.
Awa o tush oh is an Afro-fusion track produced by Olaitan Dada of Natialo Productions which talks about not being shy of who you are in Christ or about your faith.
Released in 2012, the phrase “awa o tush oh” but came to a common slang as at that time and still is till date.
Ami FKA Provabs released this song in 2013. Imela is a song with a fast tempo and also a danceable tune.
This song talks about giving thanks to God and showing appreciation as Provabs went in with lots of rhythmic flows and okey Sokay spiced it up with an awesome hook.
Off the Riverside EP released some years ago by our very own Gamie AKA Gameman.
We have “Hello Ma” which was a hot tune that talks about a Christian brother who has interest in a sister and in order to make it right, he approaches her to let her know how he feels.
The rooftop MCs after 14 years of being together teamed up once more to drop this joint titled “Laddah” produced by Egarboi.
Released in 2014, this song talks about the true followers of Christ like we have been called out to be cos he created us in his image and for his own glory.
The loni groovy-groovy master as he is called dropped this track years ago when the industry really needed this.
Wa bo shewa (come as you are) released in 2015 talks about repentance, encouraging sinners to come to Christ who can wash their sins and those who have fallen short of grace to come as they are because there’s abundance in Christ.
It is a song which calls unto repentance and good living. With awesome flows and production by Stevejazz, the song keeps being evergreen in our eyes.
