Rome: Brain of St. John Bosco Stolen

Fragments of the brain of one of Italy’s most revered saints – St. John Bosco was stolen by a person posing as a pilgrim. The thief entered the Church near Turin and made away with a glass case containing the relic of the saint.

Archbishop Cesare Nosiglia of Turin said that he invite whoever took it to give it back immediately, without any conditions so that the painful page can be closed and the memory of Don Bosco will be continued to be honoured in his birthplace.

St. John Bosco is adored for having committed his life to helping poor, denied kids. Conceived in Castelnuovo in 1815, he established the Salesian religious request. He passed on in 1888 and was consecrated in 1934.

Police are proceeding with their examination, and the general population can at no time in the future get to the region inside the congregation where the relic was already shown.
